Outline (in English)

The 21st century is said to be the age of Asia. The rapid growth of China and some other developing countries of Asia has increased the presence of the East-Asia in the world. The economy of East-Asia has been greatly affecting the world’s politics and economy, security, and resources energy for these years.
This lecture focuses on the development of East-Asia economy, aims at studying the history, process, experiences and teachings of the economic development in this region from the viewpoints of basic theory of economics and Liberal Arts.

【Learning Objectives】
This lecture will help to improve students’ ability of analyzing regional economy about its variability and complexity in east-Asia from various viewpoints.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, you should be expected to spend four hours in preparing/ reviewing to understand the course content.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
You overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
1, in-class contribution(30%)
2, Reaction paper or homework(40%)
3, Term-end report(30%)
