Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
*The aim of the course is to provide students with an opportunity to gain and enhance the knowledge of tourism economics. Namely, this course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the scientific approaches to economics of tourism, particularly in the field of economic theory.
*In this course, you will learn how the microeconomics and macroeconomics are applied to the analysis of tourism.
【Learning Objectives】
*Through this course, the students will be able to:
- explain the fundamental problems of tourism economics;
- think and express basic issues of tourism economics from the aspect of microeconomics and macroeconomics.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
*Students will have normally 2 hours of preparation and review for each class.
*Students are expected to prepare for a class and to review what was learned in each class by the textbook or the lecture note as necessary.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
*Final examination(90%)+Active Participation(10%)=Evaluation Score(100%).
*Students must meet the minimum attendance requirements to get course credits.
*Absence due to unavoidable circumstances is regarded as equivalent to attendance in general.
