Outline (in English)
This course aims to provide international students with the Japanese language knowledge and basic communication skills necessary for working in Japanese companies. In order to develop the ability to respond appropriately to various assignments in the workplace, lectures on keigo (honorific expressions) and practical exercises that simulate work situations will be conducted.

この授業では、留学生が日本の企業で働く上で必要となる日本語の知識と、基礎的なコミュニケーション・スキルを身につけることを目的とする。敬語に関する講義や、仕事場面を想定した実践的な演習を通して、職場での様々な課題に適切に対応できる力を養うことを目指す。
到達目標Goal
This course has two goals.
1.Understand the nature and use of honorific expressions accurately and be able to use them appropriately according to the occasion and situation.
2.Be able to communicate appropriately in Japanese,including introducing people, answering the telephone and composing emails.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
Presentations: 20%, Assignments: 50% (Japanese language operational tasks appropriate to the situation/occasion), Ordinary marks: 30%.

昨年はコロナ禍の影響により来日直後の学生が複数いたため学生間の相互交流を希望する声があった。今期は、感染防止に留意し状況をみながら協働学習の機会を増やしていく。
