Outline (in English)
【Course outline】 In this class, students will learn about life, culture, and the way people think in German-speaking countries while learning the German language. Elementary German grammar will also be explained.
【Learning Objectives】 The goals of the course are to
1. understand the culture of German-speaking countries
2. listen to and understand simple German expressions
3. read and understand simple German sentences
4. be able to communicate simple matters orally in German.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】 The standard review time for this class is two hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】 Credit will be granted for a total of at least 60%, consisting of 20% for class homework and tests, 30% for the oral final exam and 50% for the written final exam.
If a student is absent for more than one-fourth of the class without a valid reason, no credit will be granted.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
この授業では、初級レベルのドイツ語を学習しながら、ドイツ語圏の暮らし、文化、人々の考え方を学びます。1年次の初級文法の復習や説明も行います。
到達目標Goal
1. ドイツ語圏の文化について、理解している。
2. 簡単なドイツ語表現を聞いて理解できる。
3. 簡単なドイツ語文を読んで、内容が理解できる。
4. ドイツ語で簡単な用件を口頭で伝えられる。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
授業の宿題やテストが20％、学期末試験の口頭が30％、筆記が50％で、合計60%以上で単位を認定します。なお、正当な理由がなく欠席が4分の1を超えた場合は、単位は認定されません。
