Outline (in English)

【授業の概要(Course Outline)】
The purpose of this lecture is to consider the question "what is economy" from an anthropological perspective, examining how people produce and exchange goods and services in various local societies.

【到達目標(Learning Objectives)】
At the end of the course, students are expected to understand modern economies from the perspective of Economic Anthropology.

【授業時間外の学習(Learning Activities outside of Classroom)】
Students will be expected to conduct their own independent research on the specialized knowledge of Economic Anthropology. Your study time will be more than two hours for a class.

【成績評価の方法と基準(Grading Criteria/Policy)】
Grading will be based on the end-of-term report (70%) and small assignments (30%). (Reports that show evidence of students' own thinking, rather than reports that superficially trace the lecture content, will be highly evaluated.
