Outline (in English)

The Japanese economy is now facing multiple challenges due to the declining birthrate and aging population and the progress of globalization. In order to identify and understand the future trends of the Japanese economy, we need a tool for analyzing and assessing the trends, including the knowledge of macroeconomics and public economics. Therefore, in this course, while learning the basics of public economics, including various theories of public finance and tax, we will consider the issues surrounding the Japanese economy from the perspective of public economics. At present, the evaluation for students would be based on the score of the final exam (100%).
