Outline (in English)

【Course Outline】
In this class, we will study Fourier series and Fourier transform, which are the basis of deconstructing and reconstructing the sounds and image signals. Basics of discrete Fourier transform, which is an important tool for real applications, will also be explained.

【Learning Objectives】
To be familiar with Fourier series, Fourier transform, and discrete Frouier tnasform, and to understand how to use those in real problems.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to have completed the required assingments after each class meeting. Four hours will be your standard study time for this class.

【Grading Criteria/Policies】
Overall grade in this class will be decided based on the followings;
Assingments: 15%, Quizes in each class: 10%,
Mid-term examination: 25%, Final examination: 50%
