Outline (in English)

Course outline:
This course introduces students to the general historical outline of the Mediterranean and European worlds from the classical times through the early modern period.

Learning Objectives:
The goal of this course is to get basic knowledges about the history of European world. I hope the students of this class will use these knowledges to widen their own interests and to challenge themselves to various subjects and specialties.

Learning activities outside the classroom:
Before and after each class, students are expected to spend two hours to understand the course contens.

Grading Policy:
Overall grade will be decided based on the following:
Short reports/Quiz/in class contribution: 60%
Term-end examination or Report: 40%
