Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
Under the theme of "environment and trade," which is one of the major issues in the macro field of environmental economics, we will foster the ability to analyze the relationship between environment and the economy. We will focus on forest resources and agricultural products as areas of environmental concern and learn about the relationship between their sustainability and trade.
【Learning Objectives】
The goals of this course are to acquire the ability to think economically and logically about the relationship between the environment and trade. It is important to learn more about the current state of the international system of environment and trade. Finally, we will be able to provide a normative consideration of what sustainable resource management should be.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to deepen the knowledge relating with the course.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 70%、Several short quizzes after learning on-demand materials: 30%
