Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
This course is the autumn semester program of the second year doctoral program. In this course, students will be taught about attitudes towards research and their significance in the doctoral program. Students will also study related and peripheral research fields and discuss methods of organizing them.

(Learning Objectives)
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1)Research field survey related to doctoral dissertation
2)Systematization of research fields

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.

(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Grading will be decided based on short reports (50%), term end report (50%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives

システムデザイン専攻における博士２年生秋学期の博士研修４に取り組む心構えやその意義について解説し，必要な関連事項の概要（類似分野調査・周辺研究分野調査と体系化）について述べる．

到達目標Goal

博士学位論文の作成にあたり必要となる関連事項を指導教員からの個別指導を受ける．この博士研修４では、少なくとも博士論文作成の研究を遂行する上で必要となる、周辺分野を含めた研究分野調査と、その体系化を行うことを目的とする。．

デザイン工学研究科システムデザイン専攻ディプロマポリシーのうち「DP1」「DP2」「DP3」「DP4」「DP5」「DP6」「DP7」に関連。

指導教員の個別指導の下に、必要となる研修を行う。これは最終的な博士論文のテーマ、学生本人の意向や能力によって内容は異なる。それぞれ内容や進捗スピード、目標は学生により異なるものとなる。指導教員と学生がマンツーマンで相談・議論しながら進めることになる。
