Outline (in English)

This course introduces various urban theories and concepts to students taking this course. Especially, this course deals with the urban theories, concepts and practices about urban planning and urban development.
The goals of this course are to be able to understand the urban theories and to acquire the ability to consider characteristics, functions and roles of urban area.
Before / after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend each 2 hours to understand the course content.
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process: making a presentation (50%) and in-class contribution (50%).
