This class, you will read the diary of a local official of the Edo Shogunate.
(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this course are to understand the local life and culture of the Edo period.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students will be expected to read and review the historical materials thoroughly. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
(Grading Criteria /Policies)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.
Presentation and discussion participation:70%, normal score:30%
