Outline (in English)

Course Outline:
To understand the basic concepts of cognitive linguistics, we read the textbook for cognitive linguistics(semantics) and academic papers on (cognitive) semantics. Students are supposed to submit a summary of the chapter(or a paper) that we are to read on the day.
Learning Objectives:
The objectives of this course are (1)to learn the basic (Cognitive) linguistic terms, (2)to aquire the ability to explain them with a lot of examples to other people.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom:
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 2 hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria/Policy:
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
asignments (40%), discussions (40%), term-end paper (20%).
