Outline (in English)

【Course outline】The purpose of this class is to learn and master research methods through the resolution of practice tasks related to Health Psychology and Physiological Psychology.

【Learning Objectives】By the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Point out issues to be considered in health psychology and physiological psychology based on the accumulation of findings from previous studies.
2. Understand the measurement methods of various indices to solve the issues and interpret the results appropriately.
3. Set up a research plan and solution method based on specific methods for the issues discussed.

【Learning activities outside of the classroom】In the first session, students will write a report on the methods they wish to learn in this class. Students will search for and carefully read literature related to the themes they have set and prepare for presentations in the second to fifth sessions. In the sixth to thirteenth sessions, students read the materials distributed by the instructor in advance and prepare for the operation of equipment, measurement methods, and analysis methods. In the 14th lecture, students will plan their research plan and prepare for the presentation. Students are expected to have 2 hours of study time outside of class time in this course.

【Grading Criteria/Policy】Grading will be decided based on the class participation (not attendance) (50%), the presentation and discussion(30%), and the research proposal(20%).
