Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
In this class, students will critically read several prior studies in the fields of cognitive psychology focusing on memory and educational psychology focusing on learning process. Reflecting that, students will propose appropriate research plans to achieve original research objectives. The master's course second grader conducts research according to the plan and analyzes and discusses the results.
[Learning Objectives]
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
1.Students can list method problems / improvements or advantages in the research area of their interest.
2.Students can list problems / improvements or advantages regarding the accumulated knowledge and proposed theories regarding the research area of their interest.
3.Students can propose a new research plan with their own uniqueness based on the contents of 1 and 2 above.
4.Students can present the contents of 1, 2 and 3 above to others in an appropriate and easy-to-understand manner.
5.Students can make accurate comments on the presentations of others.

The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
[Grading Criteria /Policy]
The overall grade of the class is determined based on the following.
In-class contribution 50%, presentation of research plan 30%, proposal for improvement of research plan 20%.
