Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
 The purpose of this course is to learn and master research methods in behavior analysis, including evaluation of single-case design data with visual inspection, and interpretation of functional relationship between dependent and independent variables. Student will also aim to master how to write a research paper, by learning about paragraph writing, Japanese Psychological Association's publication manual, and other miscellaneous rules in academic writing.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1) prepare figures and tables, 2) cite research papers, and 3) write logical sentences, and 4) complete their own research paper.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to complete weekly assignments on research projects (average of 3 hours).

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade in this class will be decided based on the following: Class participation (40%) and task completion (60%).
