Outline (in English)

The purpose of this class is to develope the communicative competence necesary for effective participation in society and the world of work. The class aims to help students acquire a broard ability to commnicate, starting from familiarity with daily conversation to explaining topics of students' own interest or field of study, while deepening understanding of foreign cultures necessary for global citizens. Based on a firm foundation of basic skills, the class focuses on the future needs and interests of students.

The goal of this class is to heighten your vocabulary, listening and English communication skills.

You will learn and use key vocabulary and useful phrases. You will be given listening tasks.
At the beginning of the class, feedback for the previous class is given using some comments from submitted reaction papers.
You are expected to preview each lesson.

Grading:
Class work and participation 30%
Short reports 20%
Examinations 50%
