Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The atmosphere is closely related to human life and social systems such as industries and transportations, and it is important for us to study its characteristics so as to save the human life and society from disasters/sickness, and to create better urban/regional environments.
(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this course are
A. to learn about various types of air-transport phenomena such as air pollution, heat island, dust stream and sand drift,
B. to study on the air flow relating the urban/regional topographical condition, the fire spread in urban areas and the train/vehicle accidents due to strong winds, and
C. to obtain the knowledge on the ventilation of indoor air to remain the room environment safe and comfortable.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students will be expected to look over the forthcoming class content and to understand the content after each class. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class on average.
(Grading Criteria /Policies)
Grading will be decided based on reports for assignments (100%).
