Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
Considers various environmental problems with the urbanization of Edo and the solutions based on politics, economics, society and culture.
(Learning Objectives)
The goals of course are to acquisition of advanced knowledge of Japanese environmental history, how to examine historical facts, and how to construct them logically.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.
Term-end examination:80%,Report:20%
