Outline (in English)

●Course outline
①In this lecture, we will focus on "participation / collaboration" in urban design, and understand that the city is designed and realized while various people are involved, based on specific cases.
②Also, as citizens, we will have ownership in the city and learn the way of thinking and methods to get involved in the city.
③Furthermore, we will understand the background and values of the way of thinking of people who work on urban design, and find their own value.

●Learning Objectives
The first goal is is to learn about the motivations, processes, implementation methods and evaluations of urban design. And with that in mind, it's about giving you insight into the urban environment.
The second goal is to increase the awareness of the parties involved by learning how to get involved in urban design.
The third goal is to know the background of urban design and the sense of value that creates it, so that we can have the criteria to evaluate the designed city.

●Learning activities outside of classroom
You are expected to prepare and review the materials introduced in each lecture.
You are expected to understand the outline of each case in advance by referring to the Internet.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

●Grading Criteria /Policy
Reports (50%), Ordinary points (50%)
Ordinary points will be judged comprehensively based on the comments to be submitted after each class.
