Outline (in English)
（Course outline）
In recent years, macroeconomic policy has often been discussed in line with New Keynesian macroeconomic models. In this class, students will learn a macroeconomic theory based on optimization, which includes utility maximization of households and profit maximization of firms.
（Learning Objectives）
The objective of this course is that students will be able to conduct policy analysis using applied models based on an understanding of the basic concepts of macroeconomics.
（Learning activities outside of classroom）
Approximately three hours of preparatory study and review per week is required for credit.
（Grading Criteria /Policy）
Grading will be based on class participation (40%) and presentation of assigned readings (60%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
近年、経済政策の現場では、「新しいケインジアンのマクロ経済モデル」を念頭に置いて議論する方向にあります。この授業では、トピックを絞った上で最適化理論（家計の効用最大化、企業の利潤最大化）に基づくマクロ経済学の考え方を学んでいきます。
数式を使った解説がメインになりますが、それぞれの変数の持つ意味がイメージできれば、図のみに頼るよりもかえって理解がはかどるはずです（全くの数式アレルギーの人には薦められませんが）。網羅的な説明は目標としないので、極力やさしく丁寧に解説します。理解を深めるために、必要に応じてコンピュータによる数値計算などの結果も示します。
例えば学生が経済政策の立案者となったとき、適切な提言をするための知識を習得すること、あるいは将来企業の企画立案者や経営者となったとき、企業経営に関する重要な意思決定する際の判断の基礎とすべき基本的な概念と考え方を習得することを目的とします。

マクロ経済学の基礎的概念の理解に基づき、応用的なモデルを用いた政策分析を行えるようになることを到達目標とします。

講義を振り返り、最適化理論に基づくマクロ経済学の体系を確認します。
授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
授業中にも解説しますが、高校数学程度の指数関数・対数関数、微分・積分、数列を復習しておいてください。また、余力があれば、極限、自然対数、e（ネイピア数）を予習しておいてください。
週3時間程度の準備学習・復習が単位認定の目安となります。
