Outline (in English)

Students will learn theories concerning "leisure" from social psychology and sociology perspective. Especially, it is focused on theories, history, and methods of the leisure study.
Goals of this course are that students understand leisure activity in Japan theoretically, and learn how to use those knowledge for their future career.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: Term-end examination: 40%, Short reports and in class contribution (e.g. asking questions): 60%
