Outline (in English)

(Corse outline)

This course provides a basic introduction to the design of artifacts and their life cycles.

(Learning Objectives)

The purpose of this lecture is to educate students on the basic concepts and methods in designing artifacts and their life cycles. Specifically, students learn the characteristics of design and the basic flow of design, modeling of machines, conceptual design and substantive design, systematic design methodology, and life cycle design, and aim to acquire the ability to design artifacts systematically.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)

Four hours of study outside class time, including preparation and review for this class, is standard. After each lecture, students are encouraged to do additional research to confirm the topics, concepts and terms introduced in the lecture.

(Grading Criteria /Policy)

Grades for this lecture will be based on the results of quizzes and written assignments and the grade is determined by the following criteria: normal score (60%), quiz and report (40%).
