Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The course is an introduction to molecular biology, genetics and several modern
molecular methods to elucidate molecular and genetic questions that involve the description of meiosis, sexual reproduction, and classical genetics, and the principles of DNA replication and gene regulation in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells,and PCR.

(Learning Objectives)
The goal of this course is to be able to understand the basic concepts and terms of biology and explain them in your own words, to be interested in social and technical issues related to biology, and to be able to discuss scientifically about them.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
After each class, you will be expected to reread and review the teaching material slides. Before/after each class, you will be expected to spend at least one hour to understand the course content and prepare the report.

(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process; Mid-term examination (25%), term-end examination (35%), reports (25%) and in-class contribution (15%).
