Outline (in English)

In this class, students will learn recent research results of various phenomena in the universe and the earth such as the aurora, the existence of extrasolar planets, dark matter, etc.
At the end of the course, students are expected to deepen the understanding of the universe and the earth: history and their relations.
Before and after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend totally four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: Term-end examination(60%) and in class contribution including short reports (40%).
