Outline (in English)

The Dissertation Seminar is intended for doctoral students in the Department of Business Administration who are in the process of writing a doctoral dissertation. Over the course of the seminar, students may be developing their dissertation topics and research design, writing proposals, collecting and analyzing data, writing concluding chapters, or preparing for the final oral examination.
Students should also be required to post to peer-reviewed academic journals because a doctoral dissertation should include one or more peer-reviewed publications or papers to be published. Students should submit a certificate showing that they are the principal author when the publication is co-authored.
However, unless they passed the first step or step one of Doctoral Workshop I, same practice of Dissertation Seminar I will be conducted. Similarly, same practice of Dissertation Seminar II will be conducted in the case of failure in the second step or step two of the Doctoral Workshop II as well.
(Learning objectives)
The goals of the doctoral seminar, III A, are to write an article equivalent to the principal chapter of the doctoral dissertation and to complete the overall doctoral dissertation.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students are expected to make presentations at academic conferences on the contents of their doctoral dissertation and submitting related papers to peer-reviewed journals following the advice of their instructor.
(Grading criteria/policies)
Grading will be decided based on research achievements and/or progresses such as conference presentations, paper submissions to peer-reviewed journals, and engagement in research activities including attendance, giving papers, and other research progresses and attitudes at the seminar.
