Outline (in English)
The Dissertation Seminar is intended for doctoral students in the Department of Business Administration who are in the process of writing a doctoral dissertation. Over the course of the seminar, students may be developing their dissertation topics and research design, writing proposals, collecting and analyzing data, writing concluding chapters, or preparing for the final oral examination. Students may be also required to make provision for presentation of papers at conferences and/or posting to peer-reviewed academic journals, if instructed.
However, unless you passed the first step or step one of Doctoral Workshop Ⅰ, same practices of dissertation seminar ⅠA will be carried out.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
博士演習は、博士論文執筆を計画的かつ着実に進めていくために、博士コースワークショップの三段階の各ステップの水準に達するよう、毎回の報告や輪読等に対する指導教員による助言および批判をうけつつ、高度な専門知識を習得していくことを目的とする。
博士演習ⅡＡでは、博士コースワークショップⅡ（ステップ２）のクリアに求められる水準の「先行研究のサーベイ論文と構成章（論文）」の執筆を目指す。さらに、指導教員と相談しつつ、博士論文を構成する内容での学会での研究発表や査読付き学術誌への論文投稿を進める。
ただし、ステップ１をクリアしていない場合は、博士演習ⅠＡのシラバスの内容を実施する。
到達目標Goal
The goal of the present seminar, ⅡA, is to satisfy the following two requirements for Doctoral Workshop Ⅱ (step two or the second step). The first is to write a review paper covering the fields you study for a doctoral dissertation. The second is to write at least one (empirical) study equivalent to one chapter of your doctoral dissertation.
A requirement for the doctoral dissertation of our graduate school is to include at least one published or to be published article passing peer-reviews, or a paper equivalent a to be published article in peer-reviewed journals.
In the case the article was co-written, a certificate indicating that you were the principal author should be submitted to the examination committee.

ステップ１で承認・再検討された「研究計画書」に基づき、先行研究に関するサーベイ論文と、博士論文を構成する章（少なくとも1章）に該当する研究の報告を行い、指導教員による批評および助言を受け、博士コースのステップ２のクリアに求められる水準を目指す。授業形式（対面，オンライン授業等）は受講生と指導教員で相談して決定する。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
Grading will be decided based on research achievements and/or progresses such as conference presentations, paper submissions to peer-reviewed journals, and engagement in research activities including attendance, giving papers, and other research progresses and attitudes at the seminar.
