Outline (in English)

【Course outline】Students who learn service management can talk about and argue services only when they have experienced the services by themselves. Thanks to the development of information technology such as the Internet and social networking systems, we can obtain various types of information. The actual experience becomes more important in such a world where people can mention things they have never seen. In this lecture, students will experience services based on the theories they learn in each session. Any time and money they spend outside the classroom would be investment (instead of "cost") on themselves. In the lecture, they interdisciplinarily learn the theory and analytical concepts related to service management. Each student systematically organizes and learns the theories they have learned, while analyzing the data (reality) they collected and experienced.
【Learning Objectives】
Using the theory of service management, they understand what research is (rules), and practice repeatedly by working on in-class tasks over times to enhance their research skills.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
You study this lecture with an emphasis on after class review. After attending the lecture, please read and review the assigned sections of the textbook. Assignments will be given in class as needed. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Each time, the report assignment will be graded as a GP on a scale of 11: D, C-, C, C+, B-, B, B+, A-, A, A+, S. Your semester grade will be the average of the total divided by the number of times given (GPA for this course).
