Outline (in English)
This course deals with logistics management and supply chain management. The main aim is to help students acquire basic knowledge and analytical ability regarding the theories and frameworks of logistics/supply chain management and operations. At the end of the course, students are expected to have basic abilities to plan and analyze logistics/supply chain strategies, organizations, and operating systems based on knowledge acquired from this course. Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapters from the text and handout uploaded on the HOPPII system. During each class meeting, students will be welcomed to contribute to the discussion and Q&A. Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following. Term-end examination: 60%, Presentation: 20%, Contribution in class: 20%.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
この授業は、ロジスティクスと国際物流に関する概論的講義です。ビジネス・ロジスティクス・マネジメントの概念・理論とロジスティクス・オペレーションに関する基礎的理解と分析能力を養うことを主たる目的とします。具体的には、ロジスティクス・マネジメントとサプライチェーン・マネジメント（SCM）に関する基本概念を学んだうえで、企業におけるロジスティクス・オペレーション、国際物流がどのように行われるかを検討します。
到達目標Goal
企業経営におけるロジスティクス・マネジメント、ロジスティクス・オペレーション、サプライチェーン・マネジメント、国際物流に関する全般的な知見の習得を目標とします。また、ケースメソッドや現場観察などを通して、ロジスティクス実務に関わる分析能力と立案能力につながる知的基盤の形成を狙います。

基本的に講義方式で行いますが、受講生によるプレゼンとディスカッションの際にはケースメソッドを採用します。事前にレジュメやケースなど講義資料を配布し受講生の予習を求めます。また、毎回、教材・参考書のリーディング部分を指定します。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
基本的に講義方式で行うが、受講生によるプレゼンとディスカッションの際にはケースメソッドを採用します。毎回、教材・参考書のリーディング部分を指定し、予習・復習を求めます。プレゼンテーション(20%)、ディスカッション(20%)、期末テスト(60%)を総合して成績を評価します。
