Outline (in English)

Students acquire important concepts in "Applied Linear Algebra 2" and "Applied Calculus," basic calculation skill, and mathematical expression understandings related to learning media science.
Students understand the following two items at the lowest level required for processing digital media. (1) They can correctly operate the formula that expresses the basic properties of the Fourier transform. (2) It is possible to calculate fundamental application examples of eigenvalue and eigenvectors in digital media processing.
The standard for outside classroom learning such as preparation and review of this class is 4 hours per week. Students scores are measured based on in-class exams (60%), and engaging in exercises during class (40%).
