Outline (in English)
Based on the prerequisite course, Introduction of Mechanics, in which we learned the fundamental concept in the framework of the mass point model. In this course, we develop it to understand of mechanics of objects with a certain shape and size, especially the rigid body.
Regarding the mechanics of rigid bodies, we aim at the following items.
1. Understanding the conservation laws of momentum, energy, and angular momentum based on the equation of motion
2. Calculation of angular momentum and moment
3. Understanding the physical meaning of the moment of inertia and calculation skill of the moment of inertia for an object with a simple shape.
Mechanics is the basis of physics. In this course, students will deepen their understanding of the basic concepts of mechanics. This lecture requires a prerequisite of " Basic Concepts of Physical Science". Useful assignments for preparation and review are given every time. Students will be expected to work more than four hours for a class. Distributing and submitting materials will be done through the "learning support system". In addition, we will provide appropriate explanations and feedback from the assignments, examinations, and questions according to the levels of understanding and importance.
Grading will be decided based on the Term-end examination (50%), and the grades for assignments of preparation and review, reports, quizzes, and in-class contribution (50%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
自然科学の基礎で学んだ質点の力学をもとに、具体的な形状と大きさを持つ物体、特に剛体に関する力学について理解する．
到達目標Goal
剛体の力学に関して、次の項目を目標とする．
1. 運動方程式をもとに運動量、エネルギー、角運動量の各保存則を理解する．
2. 角運動量とモーメントの計算ができる．
3. 慣性モーメントの物理的な意味を理解し簡単な形状の物体について慣性モーメントを計算することができる．

すべての科学技術の出発点は力学であり、物理学の基本である．講義では、これまで学んだ力学の基本概念から、現象を考察する過程や数学的表現を用いた科学的な論理展開を理解する力を基に、将来の専門性の展開を図るための手法を身につける理解を深めていく．また、それらを利用し科学技術への応用力を養成する．身近な問題を例にあげた演習も併用する．なお当講義は「自然科学の基礎」の履修を前提とする．
力学の諸概念の理解とともに数学を使った論理展開や計算力を養うために、小テストや予習・復習に役立つ課題が毎回出される．基本的な内容を理解しているかの確認に役立つ．また課題や試験問題の中から、理解度や重要性に応じて適宜解説・フィードバックする．なお課題等の資料配布や提出は「学習支援システム」を通じて行う．

仕事、エネルギー、保存則. (x(t),y(t))から(x(t),y(t),z(t))へ
2[対面/face to face]：２体問題と質点系
２体問題を回転する場合を中心に考える．また重心の運度と相対的な運動について質点系への準備を行う．
3[対面/face to face]：大きさがある物体の運動
質点系の運動の記述と理解．回転運動の記述法について理解を進める．さらに角運動量の把握を行う．
4[対面/face to face]：質点系の運動方程式
質点から質点系の運動とその記述について理解を深める．
5[対面/face to face]：質点系の保存則
質点系でのエネルギー、運動量、角運動量の理解と保存則の理解を進める．
6[対面/face to face]：剛体とその運動方程式
運動の記述、質点から質点系のエネルギー保存について学び、回転運動の場合の保存則について理解を進める．
7[対面/face to face]：剛体の重心と運動
重心運動と内部運動を理解し、運動方程式の組み立てと一般化を行う．
8[対面/face to face]：固定軸の周りの回転
釣り合いの条件、F=0 N=0の把握、保存則、慣性モーメントの理解を進める．
9[対面/face to face]：慣性モーメント(1)
単純な形状での慣性モーメントの計算．さらに剛体振り子などについて考える手順の把握を行う．
10[対面/face to face]：慣性モーメント(2)
円柱、球の慣性モーメントから複雑な形状の慣性モーメントの算出法について学ぶ．
11[対面/face to face]：慣性モーメントの合成
複雑な形状の慣性モーメントの計算．部分毎の慣性モーメントの合成法とその算出法について学ぶ．
12[対面/face to face]：剛体の平面運動の結合
平面上での剛体の運動とその記述法について学び剛体運動の理解を進める．
13[対面/face to face]：回転運動と並進運動の結合
回転する剛体、斜面を転がる剛体の運動について学び剛体運動の理解を深める．

本授業の準備・復習等の授業時間外学習は、各週につき4時間を標準とします．予習として、次回学ぶ範囲に出てくる主要な術語の意味や定義を調べておくこと．
