Outline (in English)
Students will learn how to form the basic elements of paragraphs, to punctuate them properly, to use appropriate transitions to write coherent paragraphs and to edit them to make them more unified and accurate.

The objective of this class is to enable students to write clear accurate paragraphs and understand the basic features of academic text.
本授業の目的は、学生が明確で正確な文章を書き、学術文書の基本的な構成要素を理解できるようになることです。
到達目標Goal
1. Students will be taught discrete writing skills enabling them to write properly-constructed paragraphs.
2. Students will be able to draft, revise and edit their writing to refine their composition skills.
3. Students will be able to use appropriate transitions to write paragraphs organised according to function.

Each discrete skill is introduced in clear steps with practice activities. Students then develop their writing in freer activities. Feedback is given by the teacher to reinforce the skill being introduced and those previously taught.
