Outline (in English)
This course will provide students with speaking, listening, and reading practice combined with activities and tasks for expanding their vocabulary. Additionally, students will be given opportunities to develop their writing skills within the context of the course material.

Effective communication opens up a lot of possibilities for anyone wanting to work in an international environment. This course is for students who wish to develop and practice their communication skills. Attention will also be given to enhancing the skills students require to be independent language learners.

1. Students will demonstrate improved speaking, listening, and reading fluency.
2. Students will become more capable of participating in spoken discourse.
3. Students will become familiar with the writing process.

Students are expected to complete homework assignments from the textbook and worksheets that will be provided by the teacher. University guidelines suggest preparation and review should be around one hour a week for a one-credit course.
