Outline (in English)

【Course Outline】
In this class, we will study the fundamental laws in electromagnetism and apply them to understand various electromagnetic phenomena. Static electric phenomena will be main topics in this class, and time dependent phenomena will be studied in the class “AC Circuit and Electromagnetic Waves”.

【Learning Objectives】
The techniques based on the electricity and magnetism are essetial in our life. The main purpose of this class is to understand the laws behind the techniques, namely the electromagnetism. The concept of "field" will be introduced in this class.


【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to have completed the required assingments after each class meeting. Four hours will be your standard study time for this class.

【Grading Criteria/Policies】
Overall grade in this class will be decided based on the followings;
Assingments: 15%, Quizes in each class: 15%,
Mid-term examination: 20%, Final examination: 50%
