Outline (in English)

Statistics is very useful for us to process data having some fluctuations such as speeches and/or images. Students receive lectures on fundamentals in Statistics from the viewpoint of accuracy and error in some experiments. Bayesian Statistics will be introduced a little. Statistics is an important academic field for some specialized courses such as Statistics 2, Speech processing, Digital signal processing, Information theory, image processing, and pattern recognition. Therefore, those who wish to study these cources are required to take Statistics.
