Outline (in English)

【Course Outline】
Calculus is an essential technique not only in the prediction of phenomena in real world and various simulations, but also in the applications of information science. In this class, we will study the applications of calculus of real functions with one variable such as Taylor expansion, differential equations, and Fourier series, and the basics of calculus of real functions with two or more variables.
This class requires "Calculus - Basic Techniques and Applications".

【Learning Objectives】
To learn some applications of calculus such as ordinary differential equation and Fourier series and to understand the usefulness of these techniqus in real problems

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to have completed the required assingments after each class meeting. Four hours will be your standard study time for this class.

【Grading Criteria/Policies】
Overall grade in this class will be decided based on the followings;
Assingments: 15%, Quizes in each class: 15%,
Mid-term examination: 20%, Final examination: 50%
