Outline (in English)

【Course Outline】
Calculus is an essential technique not only in the prediction of phenomena in real world and various simulations, but also in the applications of information science. In this class, we will study the basics of differential and integral calculus of real functions with one variable.

【Learning Objectives】
To be familiar with differential and integral calculus of real functions with one variable, and to learn "how to think mathematically" by applying the techniques to real problems.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to have completed the required assingments after each class meeting. Four hours will be your standard study time for this class.

【Grading Criteria/Policies】
Overall grade in this class will be decided based on the followings;
Assingments: 15%, Quizes in each class: 15%,
Mid-term examination: 20%, Final examination: 50%
