Outline (in English)

[Outline]
In this lecture, we learn about Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), a technique of deep neural networks that has attracted much attention recently, mainly from the viewpoint of applications and programming. The aim of this lecture is to gain knowledge of how GANs are actually applied and programmed.
In addition, we refer to actual codes using the python language and a library called PyTorch to gain a deeper understanding.
[Goal]
To gain a general knowledge of what adversarial generative networks are, and how they can be applied to real-world problems. To deepen the understanding of how to code them in practice.
[Learning Activities Outside of Classroom]
Basic knowledge of Python language is required in advance.
[Grading Criteria]
Evaluation is based on the report submitted at the end of the semester.
