Outline (in English)

< Course outline >
This course is the sequence of the Electromagnetic-Wave Transmission Engineering (1). More advanced techniques and devices of the electromagnetic wave transmission and communications are introduced.
< Learning objectives >
By the end of the course, students are expected to acquire the following skills:
- Understanding of various functional devices in optical communications and processing
- Advanced knowledge of optical communication devices, including the multiplexer, switch, polarization rotator, and wavelength filter
< Learning activities outside of classroom >
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Moreover, additional work is expected in case the report is assigned as homework.

Oral examination and reports: 100%
