Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to help students to acquire basic knowledge on superconductivity.

At the end of the course, students are expected to learn
-A: basic mechanism of superconductivity
-B: variation of superconductivity applications
-C: frontline of superconductivity research

Students will be expected to have knowledge on quantum mechanics.

Lecture notes will be projected on the screen and explained. At the end of each day's class, students will be given a comprehension test on the content of the day's lecture. A lab tour of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (Tsukuba) will be given on the last day of class if desired.
