Outline (in English)

The focus of this course is on analysis/design methods of control systems in the time-domain based on the state space representation. The linear algebra and multivariable calculus will be reviewed and actively utilized. The goals of this course are to understand fundamental concepts of the modern control theory, and to be able to design regulators and observers using the pole placement. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:
Term-end report: 30%, short reports: 40%, in-class exercise: 30%
