Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
Computational stress analysis is widely used for effective development of products in manufacturing industries. In this lecture, you will learn the basic theories of the computational stress analyses mainly based on the Finite Element Analysis. The programming exercises using MATLAB will be also conducted to understand how the theories are implemented in the programs.
[Learning Objectives]
After taking this course, you will be able to:
- know the basic theory for stress analyses
- make FEM programs using MATLAB
- use commercial FEM programs which are widely used in the world

Before/after each class meeting, you will be expected to spend 4 hours to understand the course content.
