Outline (in English)

【Course outline】This course provides the concept of elasticity, an important property of solids, in a comprehensive way. It explains how to solve various boundary value problems of one, two, and three dimensions. 【Learning Objectives】 The aim of this course is to study fundamentals of linear elasticity and applications, including kinematics, motion and equilibrium, constitutive relations, formulation of problems, and variational principles.【Learning activities outside of classroom】 Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 4 hours to understand the course content. 【Grading Criteria /Policy】 The total score of 60 or more out of 100 is considered acceptable.
