Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
Through lectures and reading of literature, students will learn about findings and research methods in abnormal psychology/psychopathology research.
In particular, the course aims to promote understanding of empirical clinical psychological research from quantitative, objective, and scientific perspectives by dealing with cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and personality pathologies revealed by experiments and questionnaire surveys, and to make students aware of the interface with findings and research methods in other psychological fields such as cognitive, emotional, and personality psychology.

[Learning Objectives]
Students will acquire knowledge and research methods related to scientific research in abnormal psychology/psychopathology.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
It is recommended that students review the class materials and search for and read literature on topics of interest.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

[Grading Criteria /Policies]
Evaluation will be made on the basis of 70% of in-class contribution and 30% of report assignments.
