Outline (in English)

 This is an introductory course of economics aiming to encourage students who have not studied economics at university to acquire basic principles of economics. The goal of this course is to understand the intellectual contribution of the economics to the solution of social problems and the policy proposals among conflicting interests of people. Students are expected to prepare for the class by studying the course materials for two hours prior to the class and to follow up each class with two hours of review. Students are graded according to the following scales: 6 take-home exams (60%), in-class discussion (10%) and the term paper (30%).
