Outline (in English)

The purpose of this course is to help students master a quantitative analytical method and analyze the economic phenomenon that students feel involved in. Students are expected to acquire statistical and econometric methods, and analyze various kinds of economic phenomena.

The goals of this course are as follows:
1) to learn the basic concepts and analytical methods of statistics and econometrics so that they can be applied to real economic analysis,
2) to learn basic programming with R and be able to analyze data, and
3) to use the analytical method of setting a hypothesis and testing it quantitatively.

Students will be expected to review based on the lesson materials uploaded to the Hoppii. Your study time will be more than two hours for a class.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following. 3 Short reports: 60% (20% x 3), Final report: 40%
