Outline (in English)

Course outline:
This course aims to explore the development of modern social thought in the West focusing on the "method" of social philosophy.

Learning Objectives:
(i) To understand the methods of social philosophy presented by important social thinkers in line with the times and regions in which they were born.
(ii) To apply the method of social philosophy acquired in (i) to the concrete problems of contemporary society and determine the range.
(iii) Through (i) and (ii), to acquire a perspective that will serve as a foundation for living in contemporary society.

Learning activities outside of classroom:
I will present related literatures in each lecture, you should read them according to your own interests. The average time required for preparation and review is 2 hours each.

in-class contribution: 30/100, term-end report: 70/100
