Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This course is a tutorial seminar on Asian studies in a small class for the third-year students. This course is to study and to analyze Asian social issues with presentations, discussion, debates, thesis, and so on. Students are required to prepare for class discussion and presentations each week and to submit the term-end thesis.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of this course, students are expected to be able to proceed their own research and to lead the in-class discussion on Asian studies.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to prepare for presentations and discussion each week as well as the term-end thesis. Your study time will be more than five hours for a class.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Grading will be according to in-class contribution/participation (presentations, discussion, etc.) (70%) and the term-end thesis (30%).
