Outline (in English)

In this course we will consider the citizenship as an institution of the state from a sociological and comparative perspective. The course will also guide the students to write a "seminar paper" as an independent piece of academic work. The purpose of this course is to understand the significance of the citizenship. Students are expected to spend two hours to read the relevant parts of the texts. Grades will be on presentations assigined in class (30%), class participation (30%), and the "seminar paper" (40%).
