Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The course offers students the opportunity of personal advanced study and writing a dissertation on a topic of their own choice in Film Studies. The dissertation should be written strictly from an academic perspective involving historical, theoretical and aesthetic analyses. The length of the dissertation should be more than 20,000 letters.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should finish their own original dissertations written strictly from an academic perspective.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will be expected to have proceeded to write dissertations constantly. Before and after each class meeting, students should read the relevant books or articles, research and analyze films related to the theme of dissertations. Required study time is at least two hour for each class meeting.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Grading will be decided based on dissertation (70%), in class contribution (30%).
